Plug & Play started as a quick experiment in 2017, staying dormant for over a year until I tried to finish it for the streamed music compo at Deadline 2018. But doing so at the party place was almost impossible and wouldn't have done the track justice. I tried to finish the track again for later parties, but eventually realized that the track would suit a compilation like Sound of SceneSat much better than a typical music compo. So here it is, and I hope you enjoy it! As always, this track is entirely done in OpenMPT. Some elements are "happy little accidents" that happened when I was redesigning OpenMPT's plugin bridge and was using Plug & Play as a test track. This time, I decided to polish the track with some proper mastering, something I usually don't do, at least not with this amount of attention to detail. My friend Zatzen was of great help here, and I thank him for the many sessions we spent together in OpenMPT going through every instrument, making it find its place in the mix. I learned a lot during this process! Special thanks go also to dojoe for some ideas that helped improving the track. :)
