Thanks for the donation, its very much appreciated. The issue isnt bandwidth; im well within my limit there at about 5TB/month (id have to check for exact number). Plenty of oneliner space for lots of conversations hehe

(im sorry for writing this much hope its okay) ..what if there was a way of sharing the hosting costs? like the way torrent networks work. a lot of clients hold it all together. idk how it'd work, but its surely possible somehow.. maybe.
Philmonator(17:28:28)
my experience with my private (only me and 1-2 other people) minecraft servers is paying monthly to host a server with mediocre performance (running an ass full of mods), then realising that getting a mini pc is the better solution long-term
Philmonator(17:26:53)
maybe theres an alternative for that tho. (also, hosting through ur ISP in scale is prooobably not the safest thing to do..)
Philmonator(17:25:46)
just read about what "colocation service" even means id say "host it at home", but even if u would sacrifice the space and all, i doubt that u could get that much upload speed on ur ISP modem
FishGuy876(16:26:38)
Even colocation services are super expensive nowadays, data centers are hot commodoties. Thankfully im grandfathered in with the 16-core machine I have, so hoping it stays that way
FishGuy876(16:23:39)
Setting it up on a mini-pc would be nice and easy hehe
Philmonator(16:05:22)
wouldve thought its much cheaper, almost like setting up a beefy minecraft server on a mini pc (which ive done, but without the beefy )

ill do my part and set up a small, monthly donation
