Norikazu Miura
Location: Date Of Birth : 2 Feb. 1960 Associated Labels : Konami Additional Information: http://www.squareenixmusic.com/composers/miura/index.shtml Norikazu Miura initially worked as a synthesizer operator on the albums and concerts of male pop artist Makihiko Araki. After a role performing some anime songs, he decided to start composing some games in his spare time. On behalf of Synergy Inc., he initially created a futuristic technopop score for PC's L-Zone. He subsequently exploited streaming technology to create an atmospheric music and sound effects soundtrack for the 3DO's Iron Angel of the Apocalypse titles. In 1997, Miura became a resident composer at Konami's Tokyo branch and immediately started work on the shooter spinoff Gradius Gaiden. He maintained the classic feel of the series while adding greater stylistic diversity. He later had composing roles on Kensei: Sacred Fist, Tokimeki Memorial 2, Shadow of Memories, Pro Evolution Soccer 4, Silent Scope 2, and Firefighter F.D. 18. On each title, he developed and experimented with his musicality while carefully complementing game scenes. Miura received his big break when he was selected to work on Suikoden IV. Though a co-composer of this title, he soon received the opportunity to single-handedly create expansive soundtracks for Suikoden Tactics and Suikoden V. He subsequently implemented Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin and created candypop music for the Kirarin Revolution titles. His latest role is the musically and technologically ambitious soundtrack to the DS' Suikoden Tierkreis. Artist's Website Upload a new song by this artist Last Updated: 2 Oct. 2012 Added By: guru |
