Looking For Songs / Song Discussions » REQ: YouTube Clips For Songs

FishGuy876 FishGuy876 / Brainstorm 484 Posts #390 (13 years, 6 months ago)	Now the feature to embed YouTube video clips has been added to the site, if you see songs and know of YouTube clips that can be inserted into them, please use this thread to do it. You can use the [song] command to link to the song number, and just paste the URL to the youtube clip. An example: Jet Set Willy - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MJQ7p3BkG8 or: Jet Set Willy Code: [ song ]1[ /song ] (I added spaces to stop it from working) [ youtube ]-MJQ7p3BkG8[ /youtube ] Notes on YouTube Videos The video doesn't have to be the same length as the song, although it is preferred if possible that a video of the same length, or very close to it, be used. WE WILL NOT LINK TO VIDEO CLIPS OF MUSIC WITH STATIC IMAGES. We do not use the audio portion of the video, so it doesn't matter about quality of sound, or if someone is talking over top of the video. For some games, there are multi-levels played in the video clip, and you can specify a starting offset time with the video (which could be added for each individual level) to still make it work. We do this to skip various intros and extra crap that people put at the beginning of their clips. Some YouTube clips cannot be embedded in external websites, you can see this in the Embed portion of the URL on the YouTube page. And finally, if you just cannot find a clip for the game or demo, just ask and one of us will do our best to either find one, or encode it and put it up on youTube. Thanks!
